Nuclear Magnetic Resonance
We use nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to study protein structure and protein-protein interactions.  Protein samples are prepared in the lab for NMR with uniform and selective isotopic labels.  Data collection is done on the 600 MHz spectrometer in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry that is equipped with a cryoprobe.  We also routinely use the 900 MHz system at UC Berkeley as part of the California Institute for Quantitative Biomedical Research (QB3).
